For me, I like the jacket liner.

Nancy and I both have the liners.
Throw a lightweight jacket over the liners and your warm down to 25.
Then when you arrive at your destination take off the liner and wear the lightweight jacket.

So you're discounting the suggestion of riding bare butt naked in the cold?

You could wear a cape?

Could say to anyone that looks,

"I'm Batman!"
Well .... almost all the input  :givemebeer:

Liner and G3 gloves. Great. Reduces packing because all you need is T-shirt, liner, and leather jacket. Gloves are water proof and I was amazed at how well they worked in the rain. Kept me dry and warm too. They are now my new rain gloves, even without being plugged in.

I'm curious to know if any members have used the new jacket and if it's more or less bulky then a jacket liner layered with leather jacket and rain jacket  :nixweiss:
I have the new jacket and I'm stunned as to how quickly it heats up and how hot it gets. I bought the insoles, pants, jacket, dual thermostat, and gloves directly from Gerbing. So far it's not been cold enough to use anything but the jacket. I did take all of the armor out of the jacket. It just felt too bulky and heavy with the elbow, sholder, and back armor installed. They remove easliy through velcro slots. The jacket is very comfortable and I can't wait to use the rest of the gear along with my Shoei RF-1100 helmet. Bring on the COLD!!

WOW!  I finally had a chance to wear & test the Gerbing heated jacket liner & T-5 gloves.  UNBELIEVABLE!  What a difference they make.  Really keep you toasty the whole ride.  It's amazing how quickly they heat up & how hot they get.   :huepfenjump3:

For me, I like the jacket liner.  I have the gloves but wear them maybe once per year since they are bulky and I don't like the lack of feel with them on.

Same here, I hate the gauntlet style goves and have worn them only once.  I find that if my core is warm the rest of me is fine.  About this time last year I did a long ride that included going over Raton Pass with frost on the ground, wearing jeans, medium leather jacket & gloves, full face helmet with a balaclava ... with my electric jacket liner on I was fine.

Had my first experiance a week ago on a trip to the southwest, was talked into the heated vest vs. the jacket liner. Vest worked very well, but, due to the way I layer up, my arms and hands got cold.

I will be selling the vest (XXL $100) and getting the jacket liner.

Has anyone tried the glove liners?

Good choices. I have the older version gloves and the micro jacket liner. When I was on 3rd, it was in the 20's coming home - 12 mile ride. I just put the liner and leather duty coat on with the gloves. No problem other than the exposed skin on my face. These should do well for you.

Hey GH,

Check out Carhartt lined jeans.  Bass Pro Outlet sells them.  Work great for keeping the legs warm.

Hey Mike - I used the dual controller and went right to the battery.

Hey Howie, when the snow flies and the temps fall through the floor for upstate New Yorkers as Canada starts taking it's annual dump on you is their psychological well being and emotional warmth to be gained from getting cold weather gear advice from Floridians :huepfenlol2: ?
