The actual route taken between Albuquerque, NM, Kalamazoo, MI and back.. counter-clockwise

Stopped to pick up some stamps for postcards along the way.

Met "Cobb" for breakfast in OKC. Next one is on me in Albuquerque at "Weck's"

Nice '06 FLTR converted to touring. Got a chance to talk to the owner who was from Kentucky.

Bright lights of Spangle's in Topeka, KS - I'm a sucker for Neon and this is cheaper than Vegas.

Nope.. when I got to the "Zoo" I spent 2 days with the family and didn't take the bike out except for some tightening of the shifter linkage at Perry's HD. I would have really liked to run Mackinack and the UP and come down in Wisconsin but my sis would have killed me for not spending any time with her.

It also didn't help seeing a "Rider Down" less than a block away from Perry's HD. Poor bastard was coming out of a gas station and got hit by a car. The bike was laying 90 degrees out of phase on the ground and the paramedics were assisting the rider. Couldn't find any more info on the local news about the accident.

Well, I get an extra week of vacation next year so I will probably make an outer loop up the east coast and come back through the UP in MI and capture Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Dakotas on my way back to Albuquerque. That should be a ton of fun
