Heated Handle Grips
« on: March 10, 2006, 03:33:05 PM »

Hi,

Popped into your forum.  I own a Screamin Eagle Ultra but my mate has a banana and after feeling my heated handle grips would like to know if it is possible to wire them internally through the handle bars as our dealer has no idea and says he thinks the wiring is in the loom from the factory.  Also, has anybody got any idea if you can add rear speakers to the chopped tour pack.

Thanks,
Jem

 Buy the heated apparel instead.

Better value, more reliable, easier install and better coverage area's........

No, the actual head unit is different and doesn't support the extra speakers Jem - he'd have to change that too!

I had two heated stealth grips and am on my second heated flame grips as the first three failed.  HD has changed their warranty from 90 days to a year on these items as they had so many problems. I love my grips, and will probably continue to fight the fight to keep getting the replaced as long as the cost is covered.  The value of warm finger tips is worth it.  Yes, you can run the wires inside, but the directions on the grips have the end of the wires on the outside. I dont know too much about this, but I know that there was a great thread talking about this in the past, try the search out.  :D
