Q,
You lucky SOB.....I just got chills reading what happened.   WOW,  I have one of those jack lifts,  and NEVER leave it up there over night (doubt you ever will again either).....Thank goodness there was no damage..  Don't blame the lift though,  Spiderman and I had his up on the big bastard of a lift he has, were screwing around trying to figure out how to work on the front tire or something (now you gotta picture this,  bike is 40" in the air,  starts leaning over,  and who's the dumb son of a bitch under the freakin thing........you guessed it.  I saved the bike,  only took a couple of weeks to heal),  but no damage to the bike.

Q,  consider that your one freebie......you know Murphy (that little prick must ride around on my shoulder or something),  glad to hear no damage....

That little story could save someone from a lot of grief. Thanks! I'm glad to hear that you didn't have any damage.

It's been a kick stand all my life until I got a Harley. It was the first thing I took off of the motocrosser. You would just toss them up on a metal milk crate.

If you check out my pics in the ape hanger thread in SERK section you can see my 2001 CR 250 on the aluminum stand. Used to lean em up against the wall back in the day.

Well this I knew.So last nite I put my bike on the jack just got it up enough to make it level and then my family came by for dinner so I had to stop.Well I didn't get the jack up enough to lock it into the detents in the jack,a little safety precaution.Well I woke up this morning and my jaw dropped to the floor the bike was on its side on the garage floor.Son of a bitch! Well good news is no damage what so ever, the highway peg and crash bars did there job.Lucky I guess.Thats the last time I leave it up on the jack and not lock it in. Later,Q
Ouch!!! I don't know what would be worse watching slowly fall over, or coming n the next morning seeing it on its side. :'( Lucky for you there was no damage. With luck like that can you give me the numbers to the Big Game Lottery? I promise to buy you a jack of your choice if they come out. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] Seriously though, glad that no damage was done. I can just imagine the thoughts that ran thru your mind when you came out and saw your scooter on its side. :-/

As I was looking at this post I said to myself... "Hmmm there is the jack stand that caused the grief this morning, this must be an old picture." Then I continue reading this thread and see this.....

I've got that same funnel, but I think my hair turned a couple of shades of gray waiting for the Redline Heavy Shockproof to run through it. I finally gave up and poured it in w/a regular funnel.

There is a very fine screen that i removed from mine. It flows fine now.

Guys,

If you don't want your bikes to fall over 1). Keep the kick stand down or 2) Use a Bike Pro or Condor type Chocks. Bike will always stay upright.

Geezer,Funny thing the "jiffy stand" was down but the bars were straight so when the jack was loosing pressure it must have slowly dropped down and the bars turned the wrong way.Down she goes.Moral of the story don't leave your scoot up on a jack unless it is locked into the detents of the jack.or just lower it until you need to jack again.
