Service manuals
« on: November 14, 2010, 11:37:30 AM »

I like to have the factory service manual(s) and parts book for my bikes so when I got my new RUSE I had my dealer order the books - along with a few other cosmetic goodies for the bike.

When the parts arrived I was dismayed to see that the service manual supplement and the parts manual were for a 2011 FLHTCUSE6 rather than my 2011 FLTRUSE.  WTF?  I recalled that I had gotten the part numbers from my RUSE owner's manual and sure enough when I checked it the part numbers listed in my owner's manual were for the CUSE6  :'(

So if you're inclined to order manuals for your RUSE here are the correct part numbers:

Service Manual Supplement    99255-11  OOPS, TYPO CORRECT P/N IS 99525-11
Parts Catalog                       99891-11

And I know a dealer who has a 'spare' set of these manuals for a CUSE6 if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the tip!  I am expecting my RUSE in Dec and will be ordering the books at that time.  Thanks again.

You're welcome.  I sure was surprised to see the manuals for the cuse when I knew that I had ordered the part numbers that were in my owner's manual.  Just another moco f***up I guess.  :o

I did have a typo on one of the manuals - see my original post for correction.  But these p/n are on Zanotti's parts lookup page.

thanks for the info on the Catalog's. Just ordered them both from Zanotti and they also ship to FPO address for us military members.

Yes we still have issues today with some places not able to ship FPO or APO address's.

Again thanks for the tip.......

Ciao

If you can trust the owner's manual as shown on page 277 it is 99497-11.
