TTS Mastertune
« on: November 21, 2010, 11:53:12 AM »

Hi guys,

Just about ready to order this for my new bike.

I have just one question left:

On the European bikes we have an 'active' valve in the muffler, I have previously used a Fuelpak and purchased a blanking plug for the electrical connector, so that when I remove the control unit I do not get a check engine light problem. Does the TTS sort this without the need for the blanking plug?

Thanks

Simon

Mastertune will let you enable and disable this function when you go to program.  However, you will need to use a "all market" (ie international) calibration to allow this, otherwise the option will be grayed out.  Use the "all market" calibration to turn the function OFF, then install any other calibration you want.  Reason for this is that only the international calibrations are completely set-up to run the exhaust flapper thus they are the only ones that allow access for changing the setting.

Thanks Hogflash,

I guess that this will stop the check engine light from coming on then?

The valve is for European noise I guess, it opens at higher throttle positions.

I'll lose it when I fit my exhaust.

Thanks

I just had the TTS Mastertune installed on my FXDSE2, and I am very happy.  Decel popping is gone, and the bike is faster.  Also, by having the air/ fuel ratio ajusted to the 13.2 range, the oil tempature has decreased approximately 15 degrees.  The bike was dyno tuned, and the stock 110" (with the TTS Mastertune & a Thunderheader) produced good numbers.  See the below chart.
