Morning B B, have we heard anything good on Lil Colby? Just lifted him up and would like to know if anything changed so I can know their needs and know specifically what to pray for. Christmas is around the corner.... God Bless!

Baby Colby continues to struggle with problems with one lung and a blood clot in one of his kidneys. Outside of his specific problems he continues to grow stronger with each passing day. He will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and every day sees his ability to survive increase. There are no guarantees in life. All we can do is look to each other for strength and support and hope our prayers are answered. It would appear that they are being heard and being answered. God Bless All

Been praying hard. Colby's a tough little kid---he'll make it. We just became first time grandparents Nov.9, just a week before Colby and our Sophia had som Meconium. Didn't know what it was at the time. Ours wasn't serious though.  God will take care of him.

     If I could write music, I'd rewrite Huey Lewis and The News "The Power of Love " to  The Power of Prayer and sing it to the world. Little Colby is being discharged from the ICU of the Children's Hospital in Boston and sent to his parents home town of Portland Maine to stay another couple weeks at the Maine Medical Center in the regular newborn ward. He is stable and getting stronger every day. Even while being on a feeding tube, he has gained some weight and his Mom and Dad can now pick him up and hold him as he is out of the incubator. While not totally out of the woods, his Dr's say he'll make it and that sending him to the Maine Med vice home is to monitor him for awhile longer and give him medication via IV to help his damaged lung continue to heal. As I wrote when I rejoined this site, I have felt the power of prayer myself and it is real. All it requires is that you believe, and as Ronny Dunn sings it  "I Believe"  God Bless you all and a very Merry Christmas. I got what I wished for early this year

That's great news glad to hear he's doing better. Couldn't be a better Christmas present for him, family and friends to be one step closer to getting home.

Praise be to God for His grace and answering our prayers! So many prayers have been answered for many of us on this wonderful site, let us not forget where all our blessings come from. Tomorrow is Christmas and we will all be opening gifts. As Christians we celebrate the birth of His son Jesus and we can rejoice on the greatest gift of all, salvation in Christ Jesus who's gift is eternal life in heaven and all we have to do to receive it is BELIEVE!!! Thank you Lord for bringing true Joy in my life and showing mercy on a sinful man that I am! Praise be your name! Merry CHRISTmas everyone and God Bless!

Attached is a picture of baby Colby taken this past weekend. He's been transferred to the regular infant care unit of the local hospital where my friend and his daughter live. As you can see, he's in great shape with only the one tube through his little nose in case there's any more fluid collecting in the damaged lung. That should come out in a week and he should finally get to go home. Thank you to all who read this thread and thought positive thoughts or gave prayer for Colby.
