Mastertune, Vtune, DataMaster Updates released
« on: December 09, 2010, 06:38:50 PM »

The next level of tuning updates have been release and are on the online update service. We want everyone to update to this level and begin using it as this is the beginning of a new series of updates that will be coming out. In this updates the new software will now ask when using Vtune if you want the software to extend the data all the way to 100%. If you chose Yes it will only extend the data provided you captured enough valid data for it during your DataMaster run. So if you do not capture the areas in DataMaster it will not get extended in Vtune. All of this is explained in the Online help files as well as the tuning guide.

Steve, is that the only real difference, v-tune can get data to 100%? I can't get to 100% anyway, nor do I want to work my engine that hard since I never ride it that hard. Should we retune the motor using the update or is a prior tune good?

A prior tune is still as good as it was before. What this update does is extend the data out to 100% you still just run it like you did before. This allows the hand blending to now be done by th ePC instead of you doing it by hand. I would run the new product and it may just improve what you already have. Just remember if for whatever reason you do not like the new tune you can always put the old one back in.

Well Mastertune just got another release today and is now ready for all of you, ver 161. It was brought to our attention that when doing a "save and restore" that we were only allowing 12 com ports. In the programming mode we were allowing 16 com ports. So the new version now allows for 16 in all cases as well as having an added displacement calculator in the Tool drop down menu. This should make the program a little more robust for all of you.
