I am looking for something to fit in between rear brace as my stand is too wide and will bend the brace. Is this what you used this for? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I was just going to find a small strip for the rear and screw it to the stand.

I worked out the 10% with J&S and I paid $299.10 to the door (NC).. They may have had a price increase since then. Confirm with Jim Roovers when you call. He will remember me by using my name (Tim Rakers) from this site.

I have purchased two of the J&S jacks, one three years old, one recently, no problems, the big wheel one is really easy to roll around, also have got the oil pan drain but not used it yet

Hubbard, that does not look like a J & S IMO.  I'll send pics of mine tonight.

jeffj,
Thank you, Sir.  I stand corrected, and apologize to the guys from J&S, for saying mine was a J&S.  As for whoever sold me that jack, and whoever made it, and put that 1600 lb. capacity tag on it, here's your sign......."BULL CHIT"  I'm just glad me and OTIS caught it before it completely broke.  Could you imagine me walkin' in the garage, and Ol' Maudie layin' on the floor like a 1080?  Not Good! :'( >:(Later--HUBBARD

I've heard several testimonials on this jack, saw one at a friend's house---I'm convinced.  Ordered mine today, Jim also gives a 10% discount to military members or retirees.  Pick your discount, can't get both...... [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

So what's the difference between the J&S lift and the Craftsman lift? From the pictures they look like they were made on the same manufacturing line and then went to different paint lines.

I have the Craftsman and you can find it on sale for $75. Don't know whether they offer bigger wheels or an oil drain pan but these 2 features hardly seem like they would be worth an additional $200.

In any case, I've used the Craftsman for many years and it handles both my Fatboy and SE Ultra without difficulty. If I'm just cleaning the bike I generally don't secure it with straps. If I'm doing more extensive work than I tie it down with the rachet straps that come with the lift.

A good majority of us have had the sears jack (myself included) and a similar majority have had their scare with the sears and replaced it with a J&S or Pitbull or some other brand of higher quality.

You keep using it with your SEUC and you will join the ranks sooner or later, hopefully before you have a horror story to share with us.
