Rented Harley's in Cancun and got pulled over for no reason at all. Next thing you know th guy is telling us to give him $100 each and he will let us go and not throw us in jail. We had no choice, this was about 8 years ago and I was 26yrs old. After wathcing the people that were pulled over on the strip, either on bikes or those little cars you can rent it was clear that the crooked cops were making a lot of money of the tourists!

I heard the LAPD is ditching the HDs and BMWs and going with a police package version of the Kawasaki ZX-14 Concours. Now that will be a nice FAST bike! I've seen some pics of them on the internet and they look sharp.

One of the downsides of carrying a shoulder weapon is that it gets dirty very quickly. Being open and exposed in the wind means that dirt and grime quickly finds it way into EVERY nook and cranny. Some guys opt not to carry one as it means more down time cleaning it.

I agree that is a pretty open design. You would think it would be more like the old style rifle holsters that the weapon slides into.
Nothing like a gun full of bugs to clean! I know from too much experience on the bikes that them darn bugs get in the dammedest places!
