USS Enterprise in Malta

One of our formidable projections of national power shown docking in Malta....awesome piece of USA manufacturing, and sadly one of the few remaining (hint to the MOCO).  :2vrolijk_21:

Not the 'Prise - it was CVN-65. That is the Kennedy which was Decommissioned in '07.

Here's an interesting list of all of the carriers in the US Naval fleet.  It's interesting to see the Yorktown on there twice.  1st (CV-5) was declared sunk at Midway but I thought it was towed from Midway for repair.  Was it recommissioned and given a new number (CV-10)?

Saw a piece on the news last night about the Captain of the Enterprise. He is in chit over a video that was made on board 4 or 5 years ago...... A video was made aboard ship and the Captain had a starring role in a few skits in which he makes fun of some groups including gays .  Once more political correctness at its finest. Looks like it may end a fine career.
Cant find the link to it.

Beware of the video camera and Utube.

 i'll bet dollars to donuts captain honor's career is over because of those videos that are surfacing.
 i can't see the navy turning over a weapon system as powerfull as the enterprise to a person that cannot make better decisions as he has  made in the past. you don't pull a bone headed move like this and expect the navy to reward you for it, especially since all the publicity this has recieved the past few days.
 i hope to god the navy does not deploy the enterprise with him in command. i don't think i'd feel good about sailing with him to combat zone.
