Ok, I have read posts here about engine failures in many differant years and talk about extended warranty. (09 classic 96") aprox. 5000 miles

This coming riding season will be my last season of warranty and frankly speaking I don't want my motor to calf just after warranty.

Can you buy extended warranty before the end of your warranty period (in CANADA) and what should I watch for on my bike. The bike ran well on our trip to Arkansa this past summer a I did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Other than some vibration at a certain RPM (which now I can't remember the rpm value).

Should I tear it apart and check anything or what should I do.

I just want to ride and not worry.

You can purchase the extended after the factory warranty is up as long as you have under 75k miles, but the coverage is less. it is an Extended Service Plan, not extended warranty.

you need to buy the extended warranty before the 1yr purchase date on your bike.  I bought my extended warranty at time of bike purchase, but was told i had up to one year to purchase it.  When my seven year warranty is about to expire i can but another warranty for 4 years, so in total it will be 11years warranty.

i think you can purchase an extended warranty as long as your bike is still under the OEM factory coverage.

Actually, I would read it more like 94%, because 5% said they'd only buy if it was cheaper, not better or different, so technically, you can include those 5% in the satisfied with the bike, but not the price category.
