« on: January 13, 2011, 03:12:58 AM »

Hello,
Which pressure you put in the shock absorbers of your Electra (Flhtcuse6) for a load of 2 people? (Approximately 170 KG/374 pounds)  :-X

Thank you for your councils! :drink:

we always ride with 50 psi - as the manual states for two up under all conditions. I like the ride to be as stiff as possible anyway.

When I had the air shocks on my 10, I always kept 40#'s or above and did the best for me one or two up.

I have always kept it at the maximum pressure.  It gives a much better ride.  In my 07 I ran 35, in my 10 and 11 I run 50#

Like some others here, 40lb works 2up pretty well. Tried it for a while at 15 or 20 and it didn't ride good solo. Found 40lb is pretty good number solo or 2-up and fully loaded.

We ride two up at about 360# and I have to keep the pressure above 50# or we bottom out. With a full pack and luggage we'll add air to aound 70#.

you won't do that for long - 50 psi is maximum load. If that's not enough, your shocks are bad (I'm on the 3rd set presently).

After reading this thread, I tried 40 for about 50 miles.  Too stiff for me.  Dropped it back down to 15 where I normally run it.  At 40#, on the freeway I thought was going to loose a filling.  ;D
