Our newest member, Jeff, and Anne.

We didn't make it to the Torch Club this year but we had Bluesville playing on the tube.  Couldn't hear it though.....being in a room with 30 people talking at the same time.  I think it's safe to say everybody was having  good time. :2vrolijk_21:

Terrie and I enjoyed hosting this weekend and we had a great time visiting with everybody.

We headed to Mimi's for breakfast this morning.  After that, many headed home while the rest of us headed for the mountains......up above the fog....seeking sunshine.

 It was a nice way to cap off the weekend....spending a few hours riding Hwy. 49 and basking in the sun, sharing another day with friends and a great ride.

Here we are stopped at John Marshall's cabin in Coloma.  For those of you that don't remember......he's the guy that discovered gold at Sutter's mill, that started the California gold rush in 1849.  He wasn't home.

This is a sign they proudly display inside.

The bar has a cow bell hanging from a wire that goes up through the ceiling.  Story has it that the wire is attached to the bottom of the bed springs in the honeymoon suite, upstairs, and they'd sit down in the saloon and bet on how long the bell would ring.  ;D

Getting ready for the ride back down the mountain.....we sure hated to leave the sunshine. :(

Thank you everybody that came by and joined us this weekend.......you made it great for us and we look forward to the next one.
