Once a TTS is mapped for a certain bike can it be removed from that bike and with a new map be put into another bike?

TTS consists of three parts....software, maps, and a dongle.  The software and maps reside on your computer and the dongle on the interface cable.  The dongle locks into the vin of the first bike your program.  So, the answer to your question as I understand it is NO, you must buy another copy of TTS if you change bikes so you get another new dongle.

When I bought my TTS, I bought the two bike version (one dongle but allows two bikes to be programmed).  I used the first slot on my FXDWG and 1.5 years later, used the second slot on my new CVO ultra black.  Now I am also out of slots.  If I sell the FXDWG at some point, I cannot let the dongle go with it because I need it for my CVO.

If you buy a bike that has been tuned with TTS, ask about getting the dongle that goes with it.  If it is a one bike dongle, it does the prior owner no good to keep it.

Hope this helps,
Richard

No, not true.  You can have the dealer re-flash your ECM back to its stock condition and then use any other tuning device you want.  Or if you go the EMS route, send your ECM to them and they reprogram it based on your setup.  The only thing that is married is the TTS dongle.  That can't be used on another bike.

You can get rid of the map and program your bike back to stock, but the dongle is locked to your bikes vin.  The purpose of the dongle is to make sure you buy another copy when you change motorcycles.
