I had sold some items on Ebay last week and went to my PayPal account to check the transactions.  The transactions were there along with four debits of $300 each to a company called Dragonmeet Corp!  All four transactions were posted on the same day.
 

Tried to transfer the balance of my Paypal account to my checking account and found out my PayPal account had been frozen!  Checked my checking account and the four transactions had been debited!  Damn!
 

Did a little research and found that Dragonmeet appears to be a company in China.

I contacted PayPal customer service to dispute the transactions.  By the way, it took awhile (30 minutes) to get some one on the phone, but once I did they were very helpful!

Well, everything has been resolved as of today.  My Paypal account is open again and the $1200 is back in my checking account.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.  It could happen to you!

I did!  The rep at PayPal said that's probably how they got into my account.  I, like a lot of other folks, use the same password for a lot of different accounts.  I changed um all!

Got the same e-mail asking me to update my info, clicked on it just to see where it would bring me, if you looked at the link very closely it said paypai.  I never update any info with an e-mail request. & sent the Spoof e-mail to paypal.

Pay pal is very insecure. Use other options. There are 2 types of pay pal users. Those that have had their identies stolen and those that will. Been there.

There are people that make a good living off of phishing e mails by saying update your account or your account has been compromised, NEVER click on anything in them or you will be next.  I have used Paypal for over 10 years and only once had an issue and I believe I created it myself by answering one of the e mails not sent by Paypal.  Remember Paypal will never ask you account information in a e mail that manner.
