suggestions for handlebars
« on: February 20, 2011, 08:14:24 AM »

Sawyerghost here.
As earlier mentioned.....just picked up a 2011 FLHX IN MERLOT.
Just starting my build....I need to change handlebars to a little more pull back.with added heigth.
Any thoughts on where to go...........and will i need to change locations of fairing mounted mirrors to the handlebar with this?
Thanks,
Sawyerghost

Here's a link to all the mods on my wife's 09 Street Glide.....  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=32927.0

and a link to the mods on my 10 SESG.....  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=40248.0

We both went with the Harley Touring Pullbacks.  Mine has handlbar mounted mirrors (traded the inner fairing and had it painted to match, in the process).  The catalog and website both say that they're polished stainless steel however, they are not, they are chrome!  Also, it says that you'll have to change the brake line and clutch cable, etc.  You do not have to change anything else, just a little rerouting.

I and a number of other SESG owners on this forum have used these bars successfully.  They're 2" up and 2" back from stock.  At 6'4" they really allow me to ride back (where the Corbin seat puts you) in a much more relaxed (bend in the elbows) position at the back of my seat rather than having to reach way forward. :2vrolijk_21:

Check out Khromewerks +2 Sweepers.  2" up and 2" back.  Retail for about $70.
