I guess it is time for some payback!!!
« on: February 24, 2011, 11:38:23 AM »

This is what I get for laughing at all of the pictures you posted of the winter storms and putting a couple of thousand miles on my bike in the last month! I hope the link works but in short it is supposed to snow at sea level Saturday in San Jose California! I don't ever remember that happening before! It would probably be called a warm winter day to some on the site but for here this is unheard of, heck people here can't even drive in the rain, even if we get 1" to stick the roads will shut down. :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

I had planned to go to San Diego this weekend but decided to hold off and just stick around the area.

Supposed to snow here in Sacramento Sat. morning.  I don't think it's snowed here in about 13 years and that melted as soon as it hit the ground.  Sounds like it's going to be more this go round.

If it snows over the Santa Cruz mountains, they'll have to close it.  Too steep, too narrow to move the snow anyplace and to twistie with no snow removal equipment in that area. :o

I just woosed out on a ride tomorrow around Dago County cause of a forecast of 50 degrees and possible showers.

And to think I used to be a Maine Black Bear.

 I'm ashamed.  :P

Snowed in San Francisco.......28F here in Sacramento this morning.  But Terrie and I are still going to go for a ride.  Called Jon & Susan to invite them but they're obviously fair weather riders so they coughed. :huepfenlol2:

Be careful JC. With the roads being warm when the snow hits, you get a lot of black ice. Hate to hear of you getting hurt (AGAIN) Like me, you've  used up your bounce points.

He could have just decided to send me out front and find them for them. :P I would have nailed every patch guaranteed.

Was about to go out on my own putt when I got the call.  Turned out to be a great day to ride provided you had heated gear and stayed in areas where the sun wasn't blocked.  Temperatures rose to about mid 50s by the middle of the trip.

Had we headed out towards San Francisco more, probably would have ran into some.  Saw the accidents that did happen on the evening news.  Most occurred in areas like underpasses where water flowed in and froze up.

On the flip side, it is supposed to get down to the low 20s tonight.  It has been a long time since I remember seeing it get below 30.  Also heard that Southern CA is expected to get snow.  Be interesting to see snow in San Diego.

From the looks of the weather forcast, today was about the best day to ride for the next week.  Just glad we were able to sneak in a ride and return safe.  :2vrolijk_21:
