I just got a guage dated 4/21/06. No tail on needle no step in the needle. I scanned the guage still in the box. This is nuts.

I'll show you a place you can go screw that thing in [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

This is hilarious (but not in a good way).  So Harley already has an unnotated product revision to correct error in a first production run; and still didn't get it right  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] .

Only at Hardley Davidson would we consider this an average effort  [smiley=drink.gif] .

No argument here! I'm gonna stuff it in the dash anyway as a tribute. BTW your idea of using reducer cost me about 88 cents. Maybe once Harley figures out the needle ,they will look at the parts count/cost they ,have in this kit. But as I just typed that, I realize that they don't care because the customer (me) has allready paid premium for [highlight]this beta guage kit[/highlight]. I guess they would not fix things until it went in a production model if they could turn more of a buck. Its allmost like the accessory designers never get to see the vehicles and just take the best guess. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=drink.gif]

... and here I thought only Microsoft used their customers as Beta testers!  ;D ;)

Just think, were it not for all the dinking around trying to shoehorn the sending unit in the recommended location that 88 cents would actually have saved money.

Curious what they claim on the package, or item, is the country of manufacture for the new gauge, or is that gaugue

This thread keeps going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going will it ever stop.We don't know, its a runaway train. FYI to all of you who bought this piece of crap, send it back and go out tonite and get loaded instead. My .02 [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=drink.gif]

Like someone alllready said I look at it as more of a discussion. [smiley=drink.gif]I can't take this crap seriously. This site might be large enough to be on HD corporate radar screen. I don't have to remind that CVO is their premium product.Someone might check to see how we the premium customers are getting along. I think they check this stuff. Most likely have internal meetings with graphs and charts and other pictures drawings. The action must be intense. Then finally the action plan. In time a solution. Didn't take HD more than a few decades to get them to stop pissing oil on the floor. Progress not perfection. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

If the MOCO sold spun aluminum or chrome air for your tires all you yahoos would pre buy it.I just ordered a titanium infused, black oxide lined, powder coated billet battery hold down from HD.The part number is 76543-87 for $12,876.89. they told me they were going to be very limited and to pre buy before they are sold out.So if you want one send me a paypal payment for $12,875.00(I'll cover the $1.89) as soon as you can the numbers of the hold down are limited. My paypal address is

Allright there Donny take it easy and don't get your damn panties in a bunch. If for 1 minute you think that any of my posts in this thread were here to denigrate anyone's point of view, reduce a serious thread down to a joke and all the bitching about a oil temp guage that wasn't the point.Look back at the 14 page 209 responses and then cut and paste all the bullsh!t and post that. It's all in fun and all the sudden youre going to decide that enough is enough. If you had a problem with my sarcastic posts then PM me on it don't make it fodder for the rest of the site. I have followed around many threads were you yourself have had a jolly ol time poking jabs and perpetuating the situation.Shall I sit here and start going over every post and highlight and cut and paste til my fingers bleed all the "morphing "of threads from me and everyone else is thats what you want. Its all in good fun and you know it.You are just as guilty as me.So if you can't figure it out I'm a little pissed. To the rest of you who have posted your concerns about this topic and I offended you or took the validity from your posts I apologize. So in closing I guess I will have to police myself and watch when and where i post my sarcasm. Also looking back I realize I may have posted to many off color things and I'll check myself in the future.  Later
