« on: March 04, 2011, 01:39:27 PM »

Does anyone know if K & N makes an air filter that will fit my 2010 Screamin Eagle Street Glide?

Seems like any auto parts store that sells K&N should be able to order you one. I'd check before I'd wait. I had to order one for my Mitsu rocket sled from O'Reilly Autoparts and it was in the next day. I may be wrong but if K&N makes it why would it have to come from a motorcycle shop ?

You would need a K & N part number, Not a Harley number...

K&N manufactures that filter/ventalator for H-D only. It currently has to be purchased through and authorized H-D dealer. Maybe in the future K&N will give it their p/n and release it to other sources.

The HD-0900 cross references to a Harley P/N 2904404B, which is listed for the Sportster SE air cleaner.  I'm not so sure that filter fits a Ventilator, which has an OEM filter P/N of 29670-09.  Might want to double check with the folks at K&N before ordering a bunch of HD-0900's from Amazon.

If you look at the attachment, you'll note that the filters are not the same.

I ordered mine from Chicago HD Feb. 7th and it won't be released until April 29th. They said I should see it around the 2nd week of May. I'm #6 out of 9 ordered. When I ordered it said "in stock", yeah right. The paper one will work fine until then.

Last summer in Maine, I tried to source a K&N filter for my 89 Dodge PowerRam 100. It's a small block V8 with a carb style TB. The local Advance Autoparts guys could not figure out which filter it required. None of the ones they had in stock was right Soooooooooo, they picked up the phone and call a K&N hotline for dealers. The guys at K&N typed in my VIN to be absolutely sure they had no filter that would fit it before telling Advance Auto the bad news. I would think that if you go to your local autoparts store as I suggested and can get them to call K&N you can get the correct filter for whatever your need is so long as they actually make it
