Bummer.  Might lose the embossed B&S if they have to replace that whole panel.

Too big for a novice to try to repair especially in a spot that flexes, take Don's advice and see if a car dealer in the area has someone that is super at patching seats or go to an auto upholstery shop.

Sorry for your bad luck, I have done the same to cars in the past.

Take it to a good upholster shop, I've seen things repaired that were thought totally destroyed. Get someone creative and I bet you'll end up with a happy fix :2vrolijk_21:

Duct tape! Only kidding, did that to my GTX back in the day, sat down in the seat while working on the carb and had the screwdriver in my back pocket. Lots of guys make this mistake. Maybe someone has a takeoff seat they swapped out for a aftermarket seat they'd be willing to sell?

Hey Neal, if you can be without the seat the time it takes to ship it to me and back and it doesn't cost more to ship than it will to fix it locally, I'll fix it and ship it back for you...On the house...Sid

Awe, now that's just punishing yourself!  Don't you have the original stock seat to use temporarily?
