Could the 'loop' be bent upward, rather than tucked into the frame?  Expanded metal grill on the top of the bent upward loop......BBQ
Bike on the kickstand........full revs = fast cooking times.......baste with Amsoil

               I really don't see how you can say that the loop doesn't show any advantage unless you have tested it with the specific combination of parts that DME recommended to my buddy Bubba_T. You of all people should know how critical it is to MATCH your parts to one another. It's not always a matter of buying the #1 selling, most expensive, you gotta have this part to make things work correctly. Each piece has to work in conjunction with the others. Having said all that, I am well aware that your system works very well with certain cam/head combinations. I just wish you'd specify which cams, what heads and so forth you've done your testing with. I think it's a disservice to the members of this forum to think that any exhaust system will work well with any engine modifications. I am sure the Bassani system outright sucks with certain cams etc. I know for sure that the cams everyone told Beagle he should put in his Cherry Bomb did not work with his Hooker True Duals. He ended up having to chitcan the Hookers and buy Reinharts. But the Hookers had been excellent prior to swapping out his cams. And so on and so on. Bottom line is - - - the hip bone's connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to the leg bone - - - - - - - - -- -dem bones dem bones

         Glad you gave it a shot and yeah, I forgot to mention just how fricken snarky the Bassani system sounds. If you wou;dn't mind, could you PM me and let me know what you paid and where ?

I think I did mention, "88" with stock cams"? With that combo its safe to assume the heads were also stock.
Also mentioned in closing, "different engines will show different results". Not trying to disservice the readers with
performance fantasies. Just sharing the facts about a real moment that took place in my dyno room.

I like that one too.  Quite a bit actually.  Always thought the Bassani loop was ugly but that S loop is a good looking piece to my eyes.  Wouldn't think twice about running that one if it performed well.

This pipe almost made production. It was TQ monster! Quiet too, with a bitchin decell rap.

Heres a corny video from 08. 

I'm unable to make heatshields at a competitive price. With out heatshields it would bake the BSR right off the back seat
from the large loop disipating heat in front of the Female passengers leg. "Wanted to clarify gender".

Then the 09s came out, the X Pipe came along, and the 2-1 with out heatshields became history.
You guys think anybody would be interested in a black 2 into 1 with out shields?
As a mother I'm still feeling some shame for locking it in the closet.

         There's a lot of us ridin 08 and older bikes. Of course we'd be interested. As to the cost of the heat shields, I don't think you'd scare this crowd very easily. We're all nutjobs to the point of not caring how much just when can we have it. Keep us posted should you decide to put it into limited production.

well.....just got the system put on...... and well...... it is so friggn AWSOME the sound is amazing and the GROWL! its lound through town and just a low pur on the interstate! love it love it love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all about what you like. IMHO as well.
I knew i would loose low end a bit and even a bit of stumble off the line. I also knew i wanted "Sound". If i wanted a race bike i woulda built/bought something else. If i wanted a show bike....well i can't afford that. What else do i know.....I LOVE THE SOUND, PERIOD! Tuned duals make such a sweet sound. LOW AND LOUD and i kinda like the looks a bit.

Even with heat shields these will bake the passengers right side extremities. Have to be careful myself too, very easy to "smell the denim" with this pipe.
