Newbee here......I'm looking for a seat with great looks and confort for both me and my wife when she rides with me. The RK touring seat has me moved foreward a little compared to the stock seat. I sat on my bro's RK Custom and that seat felt softer than mine but I'm not sure the wife would be satified after a days ride. Is there a seat made that will move me back and low and provide comfort too? I'm 6'2" with long legs and don't want to be setting up any higher than need be.
Sid,

I've found over the years that seats that feel soft initially are the ones that cause pain after 50 miles - initially firm means the foam doesn't squash down until you feel like your sitting on the frame rails.

In the H-D line of seats, I think what you might be looking for is the Tallboy series, such as this one: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448766914&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309113916&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309113916&bmUID=1147266760872&bmLocale=en_US

Here's the seat and the stock backrest they recovered to match it.

Hey Don,
How has your seat held up in the rain, being soaked for extended periods?

So, If I were to ......

a Who lives near the Corbin plant with a SEEG?
b What is the nearest airport (major for cross country flights, NJ - NY)
c If someone is near the plant would you be interested in taking the bike over for a seat fit up?

Maybe I could take my wife on a mini vacation to Monterey and stop by for a new bike seat  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

It's never shown any signs of problem Duane.  This one has had a few long days in the rain with my rain gear covered rear grinding whatever muck and mud and mess is blowing up from road in to the seat.  It cleans up without a problem.  The last couple or Road Kings before the SEEG each had Corbins on them too and saw their fair share of days and days of rain.  They always cleaned up fine too.  This most recent trip even had rain and snow flurries for a couple of hours one morning up in the mountains of Pennsylvania while the heated seat was turned on.  I kept waiting for a special buzz feeling to hit my rear.  But the seat just kept right on working.  I have at times spoken with the occasional dipstick working as a rep at Corbin.  But the products I've received and the actual workmanship have never given me anything to complain about.
