When your wife feel so tired you can suggest her stay at the hotel and then you head to:

Why would you get the insurance if you have your own?  When we rented from Eagle Rider, it was an extra $24 a day for their insurance, which had a WAY higher deductible than I have on my bike - $120 for 5 days - I pay like $280 a year for much better coverage on my bike and I get that same coverage on my rental from State Farm as part of the policy.  Am I missing something?

Not sure about your policies there but ours do not cover us for rental and credit cards for the most part consider a Harley rental as an "exotic" so they may not cover either. Also it's not so much the for the collision but for the damage waiver.
I've rented from Eagle Rider too (the original owner was a Canadian from London Ontario so that attracted me) but ownership has changed in the last few years and  the last time i rented 3 bikes from them for my group their bikes where really tired and worn. LVHD bikes are mint! or at least every one i've gotten from them has been.

I rented a SG from the Dealer on Eastwood and did a loop up 15 to Valley of fire, east to Mead, then down along the western shore on Northshore then Lake Shore, to Hoover Dam, then back thru Bolder on 93.  Nice day trip.  If you go to the dealers website, they have a number of recommended tour maps.

Wife and I did this one too. GREAT ride!
