Now don’t get me wrong…many of our fine riders need more than two wheels but if you don’t…that’s one heck of a way to…up a bike…

Well I see the prices of bikes and everything else at Bruce's is still way to high. People in Florida must have way to much money or not enough brains for them to sell that many bikes. The last time my wife and I were there I didn't even buy a t-shirt.

Yea their prices are still too high, I had to go to Ocala to get my Limited, What The dealership told me was people from up North will pay the high Bike prices.. I was kicked out of there for telling them what I thought of them for gaugeing people.. Must be the Northern people with all the money or not enough brains to shop around... Sorry for the reply like this... :nixweiss:

Not me, I'm watching to see if they go broke, their selling all Buisnesses associated .. Or to see them sell out.. When I buy from a dealer I go out of my way to avoid Ormond store....

Great job as always, Jock!

What do we know about this fellow…Ed Kretz

From Wikipedia:

Ed Kretz, Sr. (September 24, 1911 – January 30, 1996), aka Ed "Iron Man" Kretz, was a motorcycle racer in the 1930s and 1940s.  Kretz was known for riding rough. He strove to finish, and win, every race. He rode #38, usually on an Indian motorcycle.

Kretz was best known for winning the first Daytona 200 race in 1937, riding an Indian Sport Scout. He largely dominated the sport for over a decade. He won the first 200 mile Savannah Nationals at Langhorn (1936, 1937, 1938, 1940, and 1948) and Laconia (1938 and 1945). Kretz was voted most popular rider of 1938 and 1948. Officially retired in 1952, he raced a 100-lap TT race in Ascot Germany, winning the lap money, the heat race, and the trophy race.  Kretz retired from racing in 1959 and from his dealership in 1986.
