Mandm1,
The last few baggers I have owned have been lowered 1" out front. I feel like the front end sits lower now on this bike, but not sure how much. As far as stiffness goes, this bike rides nothing like the others that were lowered with just springs. The mono tubes do have a great ride. I mean lets face it, the bikes don't have a ton of travel, so they don't ride like Cadillac's, but it definitely doesn't ride like a lowered bike at all! As everybody says, the bike doesn't dive like it does stock. Something I did notice, the bike rides up in the stoke much better through the turns. It took me a bit to figure out, I never really noticed the front end dropping in a turn, but now I notice it not dropping in a turn (if that makes sense?). If you think about how soft the front end is now, and think about the force generated while going through a fast turn, the front end must compress a lot when stock. Like I said, I never really noticed this, but now you can feel the difference, you don't feel the bike compress, even though I didn't feel it before..... crap, who's on first here.....I am talking in circles, hope it makes sense to you.
