Anyone have a decent lock system for their seat.
I see one called a Gordon Lockdown that looks good. Anyone ever use this or if you have any ideas let me know.
Alligator seat came in and I can see someone wanting to claim it for their own.

Is this a solo seat with either 1 or 2 bolts that stick up? Or does it attach at the fender screw?

What PN or screw size did you go with? Do they include the driver?  In reviewing their page, it sure doesn't look like they sell just single bolts with the appropriate driver??

The seat is a fastback style with one bolt that attaches to the fender. Looks like the security screws are the most common.

Got one last night. Quick response to my e-mail too. Buy from this link and not fleebay as it is a few $$$ less.

I agree it is not foolproof but it is better than the Phillips screw that a nail clipper can remove.

Does anyone know if a Allen hole plug/chrome cap will fit on top of this screw? It might look better covered up.

To our knowledge, unless you can modify the plug/cap, it will not fit because of the security screw design. We do polish the screws on this product so you might not find it necessary, anyway, if you are doing it for the looks. If you do try something - let us know how it works so we can pass that info on to other customers, or possibly have that product available ourselves. You are actually the first person who has asked that question.

There was a thread here back in 2007 (that I cant find) that introduced the Byrce Fasteners.I did find the vendor the group purchased from, i think we were paying around $6.00-$8.00 for package of 5 at www.mcmaster.com
Size for touring is 1/4-20 x 3/4  Let us know if vendor is still selling these, i would like to get a few more of these myself.
