After a 230 mile ride today, I've made up my mind. The OEM ostrich seat has to go. Has anyone replaced the factory seat on their CUSE and if so, what seat did you go with? I've had Corbin before and loved it. I'd like to get some of the ostrich leather incorporated to maintain the CVO appearance if possible. Just looking for advice.

If you think that the '06 is uncomfortable the '04 was WORST!!!. When I picked up my 04 in Fort Walton Beach, FL in the way back to South Florida around May 04 after riding 20 miles my wife told me: Hey hone or you do something with the seat or take me to the nearest airport and and I will take a plane back to home...I can't be seated here...!! So I stopped in the next gas service station and I purchased an indian blanket and I folded to make like a pillow and she seated on that until we canget a HD dealer and I purchased a Sundowner seat whch was excellent and I used until I sold that bike last November..... My new Corbin arrived today - exactly 3 weeks from the day I ordered it. As you can see from the picture, it looks great, both the seat and the backrest. Great use of the ostrich insert makes it look like a factory job plus a perfect match with the passenger backrest and tour-pak. Took it for a shakedown ride tonight and boy what a difference. Anybody looking for a great replacement seat on your CUSE should definitely check out the Corbin. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Looks like they didn't lose the recipe.  Glad it worked out. I love mine....Biggest thing I tihnk iss that you NEVER even think about your a$$ while riding  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]...Lots of other important stuff to think about anyway! (like where to take a leak/grab a coffee/time for a smoke break?...etc)

I thought I would share another custom seat. It is from the folks at Russel Day Long Seats. These seats are rebuilt using the stock pan. Yes, I did have to send the stock seat to them. The new seat is built for the individual customer using photos, body measurements, and weight. So, my seat would not fit the average size guy.

While the day long seat is not the hottest looking one around, it has to be one of the most comfortable. I am extremly pleased with the fit and comfort. They were able to save the stock heaters. I chose full leather with the ostrich being actual quill leather. It adds a true richness to the Cuse.

Finally, a thumbs up [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] to Katy at Day Long. She was very good to work with and did what they committed to.

Hi bigmanken,

That looks like a very comfortable seat!  8-)
I bet you can really put on some miles with that one.

It is indeed very comfortable.

It does not cease to amaze me that when we purchase a $30K plus bike, we have to keep shelling out the bucks to get the comfort, quality, and performance that should have been there to begin with.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Haze and it will soon be the bike that I thought I purchased.

Safe riding!

I'm at the point that I think my next bike will be a plain Jane Streetglide.

I end up changing everything anyway. I might as well spend 20K+20K instead of 30K+10K and end up with exaclty what I want.

Hmm, Is that like six in one hand, and a half dozen in the other? [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] Makes one wonder if there is really in savings in the add-ons that come stock on the CVO's versus doing it "your" way from the start with a plain jane scooter. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
