Eventually these 100 spoke American Wires are going to go on something.

Yes, that's a downside.  But surprisingly not too bad.  Bike on the lift.  Proper use of silicone and compressed air at lower pressure and a little wiping.  They may not be bike-show-detailed.  But they're good enough for school.

Thanks, me too.  I know I don't get nearly so anal retentive fastidious as many of the folks here do.  But even if I don't keep them looking perfect I do like them looking good.  The wheels may take a bit longer but, yeah, they're worth it.

Have one dark-side (or, actually, wide white-side) admission though.  With spokes on a Road King I keep thinking about wide whitewalls.  I really don't think it's the right look for that bike.  But it's always back there brewing in the back of my mind.

I got to agree  :2vrolijk_21:(got 'em on ole granny), they're not for everybody, but they go with the spokes, to my eye anyway.  :-*  har.  spyder

On a fairinged bike I'd never run wide white.  But on a Road King I would.  Though I like it better on a Road King with leather bags than with painted bags.  Had them on my last two Road Kings all the time.  In fact a lot of detail from that last Road King was incorporated in to this one.  Carried a lot of small ideas forward.

Took off the Chisel Custom - Mirror Chrome and replaced with the Chisel Custom - Contrast Chrome. Goes a little better with my black/chrome motif.
