The only rain gear that has kept me truly dry is the Frogg Toggs Elite Highway.  Not a logo on it and the simple solid black with reflective piping looks sharp as well.  The zippers are really waterproof.  The jacket is even comfortable with short sleeves on under it as it has a light lining that lets your skin breathe while staying dry.  Picked up a set at Myrtle Beach Fall Bikeweek for about $100.  Light years beyond the HD stuff that always seemed to soak me while riding in the rain.

Had not seen those before.  They won't melt if they even sniff a pipe like the regular Frogg Toggs will?

Not being an avid HD advertiser I'm curious if I can find anything WITHOUT the BIG logo  :nixweiss:   :drink:

I got this one.

http://www.harley-davidson.com/mcm/mcm_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442233307&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309040958&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309040958&bmUID=1205600244838&bmLocale=en_US

Not too pricey. Best suit I've ever owned. Not saying much though. I've always used them $39 sets. :nixweiss:

No, I've gotten them against the pipes briefley(somehow, it's inevitble) and they were fine.  They have a light weight heat resistant fabric on the insides of the lower legs.  This rain suit is an entirely different animal than the plain Jane, Let's go Fishing Frogg Toggs.  Good stuff and I found them on clearance at http://www.sierratradingpost.com this morning.  I think the price was $109 for the set with a storage bag.

Gander Mtn said they won't have the Frogg Toggs until April so I wasn't able to check them out. Thanks for the link. How long have you owned your set?

Good review Craig. I got a set for Christmas to replace my faithful blue FT set. It's a much better design than the paper-towel set I have used for the last 6 or so years.

Good to know it works well. :2vrolijk_21:

Just had them since October 2007.  Unfortunately, I've had several occassions to test them out.  They also work great over the Gerbings liners on cold days that you just don't want to wear leather.  When temps range from 40 in the morning to 75 in the middle of the day and then back to 40 in the late afternoon as it often does in the mountains, it's pretty hard to beat this combination when you have to pack for two people on a longer trip.

And they pck pretty tight with the bag that comes with them. I haven't used them yet, but I think they'll do well.

I've got a picture from our ride home from Sturgis in 2005 when we saw some guys went riding by wearing plastic trash bags. I should find that pic.

Sail?

--------------------------

It's not far down to paradise
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away
And find tranquility
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

It's not far to never never land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy
Of innocence again
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me

Sailing
Takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Fantasy
It gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie
Every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me

It's not far back to sanity
At least it's not for me
And when the wind is right you can sail away
And find serenity
The canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Believe me
