We just beat Don to the punch line for once :coolblue:

Just got back from a ride.  Someone has to pick up the slack while I'm riding.

Was it raining?

Today, no.  Absolutely poured again yesterady about 3/4 of the day.  Today was gorgeous though.  A cool feeling 80 degrees that dropped to sweatshirt riding after dark.  Blue skies in the day and a broken orange and pink sky to end the day.  Had one bike out earl today for a few hours and the other for about 2 1/2 more this evening.  One of those most excellent days.

I was hoping to rack up some miles in Harley's Million Mile Monday tomorrow but it looks like rain all day here.

Yep, my Red Bike is outside...

But my Red Bike is a Kawa and I have the rain covers for the saddlebags.  (and its slow as hell compared to the gold bike!)

We got some really nasty rain yesterday - sideways stuff.

What's a million mile Monday?

Several things.

A) A way for H-D Inc to help their corporate breathren in the oil industry sell gas

B) A way for H-D Inc to garner free publicity for themselves

C) A way for H-D Inc to take credit without any action on their part

I suggested everyone go for a ride yesterday and INTENTIONALY LEAVE THEIR BIKES PARKED TODAY in protest of the poor quality of H-D Inc's recent motorcycles, the chitty attitude of their dealers and the indifference of their management to anything

This may help:

I'm still torn as to ride or not. I've got a lot of work to do this afternoon and the skies are not looking promising.
My guess is that the weather will prevail as the determininig factor.  :divers009: :vrolijk_13: :sunny: har!  spyder

It's funny... I'm searching this thread to find a replacement set of rain gear and here I find mention of the set Linda is currently using. Thankfully she hasn't needed to use the "borrowed" 'ol faithful blue set yet!
(& no, I can't sleep)

AJ, if Linda is looking for rain gear, the set I bought at Harley is great.  The legs have side zippers and velcro and  straps to go under the boots.  The jacket has a hood that is great to wear under the helmet, keeps the neck dry.  Rainproof, through and through.  I've never even felt a drop of rain when wearing this suit.   :2vrolijk_21:

We have the Harley GoreTex Paclite and they work ver very well at keeping us dry...about the only issue is water that runs down the face can bet down the neck...but a ff helmet would stop even that.  And with the hood up under the Helmet, I agree it keeps the water off the back.  For our past few trips we bring them and our Gerbings for pretty good comfort.  They might be the ones described here.

Thanks Bill. I've been using the 2 piece gray & orange suit from HD and it works pretty well. Mine is starting to show some age even though it's only 3 years old (guess I hit a lot of rain ;D).

AJ - wife & I were using the HD orange suits & switched to HD Goretex Paclite last year.  Night & day difference - much, much better & more comfortable when it's warm.  Bought it on a 20% sale - dealer ordered in the correct size for my wife.  Expensive but well worth it.  I checked out Goretex Paclite from a variety of sources decided I liked the HD version & at the time the price, delivered was a little cheaper (using the word cheaper with HD & Goretex is an oxymoron) at the dealer.  Available from several sources - much better than the older heavier HD Goretex in the warmer climates.

Iski, this the one? They just had one on the clearance rack down at Sav HD but didn't notice the size. What are you doing for pants?
