The trophy idea is a good one, however i had something machined and thick like the stock ones in mind. I will want them to screw on like the stock ones also. I have been doing allot of searches and found the ones I saw on a FBI bagger. I am going to contact them and see what they have to offer. Thanks for your suggestions. I will report back my finding for others. In the meantime Any other suggestion or ideas would be great!
UPDATE: I Emailed FBI but have not gotten a responce in 2 days.

Update #2: Just got an Email from FBI. The person or persons who did theirs is not interested in doing one off. So I am still looking. I guess I have a answer if I am willing to pay the price.  :nixweiss:

Several months ago i designed a plate with three ?, choose billet for material and the cost came up at $260 .... No thanks,,, buts that just me..

Just remove the heads and do it right. Have JIMS etch you something you like. Or contact Diamond Heads. Even they might can do something. May not be a cheap way out of this. Then again, HD isn't the cheapest hobby in the world.

Plus, this gives you the perfect excuse dig into that puppy and do some head work and other cool stuff to get more performance.

Just an update on this topic. I just placed an order for several black anodized aluminum blanks from emachine. Getting my motor built up & want to put something original on the heads. It will be a couple weeks before I get the blanks, then I will try a couple different methods to get the lettering on.
I'm a little afraid the anodizing is going to discolor due to the heat, but only time will tell, I will have to see next summer.
Will post pictures after I get a finished product....

The cost ended up being around $20 a piece, for the number I ordered & the options I chose in regards to shipping time. There were many options that affected the price, quality, quantity & coating and so forth.
They will be direct replacements, screw on just like the existing medallions. The only difference should be that mine will be completely flat/smooth, where the originals are a stamped aluminum piece with the raised lettering.

Did they that've a min order requirement? If so I would be interested in buying a set if that's something  you would entertain.  :nixweiss:

These can be made so easy on a CNC engraver using aluminum with black powder coated finish. The border, the writing, the holes, the blanking when finished. Easy.

Are you offering? :)
If you have done this, or know someone, please let me know. Would like to see a picture of a final piece if possible.

I engrave rocks on the side, so I'm planning on trying to engrave myself and/or have a local shop do it with their laser engraver.

Maybe using a jewelry store can do the engraving then have them anodized any color you like. Just a thought.

I have no such machine. I have just seen it done and have paid for many similar non-motorcycle labels to be made. Any trophy shop can do it but they just need to have a sheet of black powder coated or anodized aluminum something that may not be readily available to them through their typical channels.
If you are truly interested PM me and I can give you some sources of the metal.

I don't have any problems finding CNC material, and have no problems finding someone with a CNC machine. I do have a problem paying out the ridiculous fees they want to setup and start the machine.. I wish these CNC owners had your "so easy" attitude.    Darn, for I minute I thought we found a good machining source.  :-X

The plate stock is anodized black and after machining the lettering or any borders are pretty bare aluminum. An engraver works on a whole differant wage scale then a CNC machinist, just saying
