mrmagloo ,,,,
At our install tradeshows, I have helped our guys install these new 500w 4-ch amps, and the most significant tip I can give is to NOT be in a hurry, and make sure that you methodically move many of the plugs and wire bundles outside the vertical supports inside the fairing, on either side of the radio ,,,,,
this often requires the removal of a couple of gauge assemblies, to get the large factory wiring plugs to the outsides of these supports ,,,,, then do NOT pile a bunch of cables on top of the amp ,,,, and make sure to tidy up all wires and bundles neatly before trying to put the fairing shell back on ,,,,
there is a decent photo of this at

Bass response with the new ROKKER series 7.25's is better than the standard J&M 7.25's, but still not up to 10" subwoofer standards, ((the fairing is not exactly a specially built sealed subwoofer box)) ,,,
Having said that, they are still easily THE best sounding speakers you can install in the Harley fairing ,,, especially at speed, with a good amplifier driving them ,,,,,,
,,,,, and that is another one of the main advantages of the new ROKKER series speakers from J&M, is the ability to turn the gains up on the J&M amplifiers a bit more and really extend the sound and performance envelope ,,,,
I have played around quite a bit with the bass boost and crossover frequency adjustments on the J&M amps, with little success ,,,,, booomy bass is just not going to come out of the Harley fairing ,,,,,,
Now we are looking at a new type of tail trunk from JOHN SHOPE'S SINISTER INDUSTRIES, which we can mount a 10” dedicated subwoofer into ,,, then possibly take the rear channels off of our 500w 4-ch amp, bridge them together, and make it really thump ,,,,, but we are just at the beginning stages of that idea ,,,,
