I ordered on 3-3-11, received 4-8-11
 Bill from LakeShore HD told me in an email that HD moved their parts distribution from Wisconsin to Indiana causing a major shipping delay.

Installation note for LED headlight.
 On the SG (thats what I have can't comment on others) you don't have to install the adjustment ring supplied in the kit, it is the same as the one on the bike and you wont have to do much adjustment, most likely just lowering a bit.

That's what I wanted to see, thanks. My guy will pull a black LED headlamp off of a demo if I want it. He has the black passing lamps. I think I'm gonna go for it...

Johnny  you will love the look and performance of the LEDs.  So many people look at it like like its a part off the space shuttle. Yesterday at Leesburg Bike Fest a guy with a Goldwing stared at mine for 5 minutes before asking "what is that"  My buddy really wanted to make up a good story but I gave in and told him straight up.
Go For It, 
There is one thing to consider.  I notice the light is VERY bright and goes a long way, make sure its adjusted proper otherwise you will blind other drivers. I used to ride with my highbeam on during the day but my buddy who rides in front of me says its too bright. during the day!  Maybe hes a wimp!

Did you get it with the black trim ring?  I have the same bike, the current trim ring is chrome and the passing lights trim ring is chrome.  I am getting the whole set up, but for that much $$ I want the trim rings to match, preferably black?

Crimson, yes i got the black headlight trim ring, just waiting to see if mother HD releases the passing lamp trim rings in black before i had mine powder coated. I will probly wait for HD to release them as i don't want to wait for the powder coating and be unable to ride. the local power coater seams to stay backed up about 2 weeks around here.

This is nuts,  I called several dealers and I am being told that these things are back ordered now til mid May and its going to get worse.  I have been calling around trying to find someone that has them in stock with a reasonable discount.  I finally found a dealer.......Las Vegas Harley Davidson...yeah...I'm in Michigan, goes to show the effort.  But they have 5 of the black 7" headlamps in stock (67700040), and 1 set of the black passing lights (68000008) in stock.  The phone number is 702 431-8500, ask for Ken in parts......I told him that he would most likely be getting a couple of calls.

I just bought the 7" headlamp and matching black passing lights, I paid $838.00 for the set including shipping.

Las Vegas HD shipped today.  I will receive them on the 18th! My bikes in the shop for the 3rd time for the same fricking problem.  Hydro clutch losing pressure somewhere and it keeps going flat.  4th times a charm?
