 yeah, well 100 MPH Club cost me 12 hours in jail Thursday night, Texas HP clocked me and a Ferrari coming back from Galveston at 123 MPH in a 65 zone . Two roll back wreckers were called for the SERG and Ferrari......He  hauled our ass off to jail and both of us got tickets for racing!!

  So far, I'm told we got a break, 123 in a 65 could have been worse. Court is July 8th, Pleading NOT GUILTY!! i'll let you know how that works out.

 Sorry NO Good Pics..only at the impound yard getting the bike back..

You were concerned about your throttle sticking so you took the bike to the Harley shop for inspection.
Tech looked at it and announced,

Been there done that 40 plus years ago, however I was in a 427 Ford Fairlane, still went to jail.  Speed was lowered but back then it cost me $3,000 for an attorney.  Ended up 45 in a 35 and somehow no points on my license.  Oh by the way my attorney was also a Judge.

A Ferrari~damn knothead, you don't race no run of the mill street rods, now do ya?  Ya'll must have just got started or was he meeting you on a 4-lane?  Might be expensive, but at least they didn't keep your vehicle.  Hard to get 'em back here if you're caught racin'.  Good luck, let us hear how it goes.  spyder

Zummo now says 183 KM (114 M) I am sure i seen the speedo closer to 190 KM. Bottom line the bike will not go any faster. I held it there for about 20 seconds before she started to wobble. I have ordered the Fulsac Stage 1 with 2.0 cores. Maybe it will make a difference maybe not. .

Fullsac X Pipe, TTS Tuner, VH HO's and I got 122 mph. Had the tires at 38 f and 42 rear. Seemed pretty stable to me but I'm an idiot:)

Apparently we have some guys on here that like power and speed. It would be interesting to find out how many members have been over the speed limit. By the post about radar detectors I'd say some are habitual offenders, count me in that group.

I go over 100mph sometime during the day every time I ride! I call it 100mph Therapy! I do it because sometimes
I cannot get my mind cleared until 100+. Once you hit that speed if your not totally thinking about the ride your F**KED!
I never obey a speed limit unless I think the man is watching. I don't ride in packs of traffic because that's where most accidents happen. I never ride behind or next to 18 wheelers! I wait for an opportunity and pass them fast as I can! I have seen alligator's come off and hit a car and I can tell you it would kill you on the bike!

Test rode the new BMW 1600 LT for the second time Saturday. Hit 100 in 4th gear so quick it was startling. Smooth as silk. Was like riding in a bubble of quiet air. Was on a country road I didn't know so didn't want to press any higher. It's quite a machine! If I was going to do some serious long-term touring, this bike would be at the top of a very short list. $27K fully loaded. A bit plasticy and doesn't have the soul of a HD but you can't argue with Bavarian efficiency.

Taken my Wide Glide to 100 mph only once and it was all hands on deck. On the beemer, other than the telephone poles going by like fence posts, you couldn't tell the difference between 100mph and 50mph.

Sounds like you just 'preciate your ticket-to-ride too much to risk losing it.  If that's getting old or getting smart or learning the hard way or whatever.. ..I'm right there with you.  har.  spyder

118mph with d&d boss fatcat. drafted  my friend racing  and gps zumo 660 registered 124mph. needs a cam change bike falls flat on topend.

My last 100+mph run.. Was running 125 on a two lane for 10 miles straight. Decided to slow down. Let off the throttle and had slowed to 83 when I topped a hill and met Mr. DooBetter. He.. Err she jumped on the brakes and did a 180 with lights and sirens blaring. She says "do you know how fast you were going?" when she tells me 83 I think "thats all???".
