I accept wear as normal and most all mechanical things will give trouble eventually BUT not new stuff that started this thread. If my hyra clutch was leaking after 200,000 miles and half a million pulls I'd put in a new one and not bitch but we are not talking about that kind of a problem.

I have only rode the hydraulic clutch for 6K with no problems except a tough pull compared to the cable on the FLHRC. Time will tell.

The hydraulic clutch should not be a "tough pull " It should feel firm but once in hold easily. If it pulls really hard, the actuator piston could be dirty and sticking a bit. Check your owners manual on recommended fluid change interval and cleaning of the clutch release assembly.

Well, I will post the outcome.  Fortunately I have a good habit of always holding my front brake when putting the bike into gear, because after 3 failures, I'm fortunate the bike didn't hop on me and me drop it?

Byt the way (SPIDERMAN)  I went all black!
