Well, it has finally happened to me. For the first time in my life I just paid over $4 a gallon.  $4.059 for 93 without ethanol.
Another milestone in my life has come to pass. I'm saddened.

At least you were able to find pure gas.......corn should be used to make liquor, not to dilute gasoline.  :-[  spyder

$4.35 here for the regular grade "diluted" stuff today, $4.55 premium.  And that's on the Indiana side of the border, you don't want to know what it is in Chicago proper.  And get this, now the excuse is that the tornado's in the south have interrupted power to some refineries, thus reducing supply.  Never mind that demand was well below capacity before all the price increases, and has been dropping ever since.

I think they should change the laws so all gas stations have to use the old fashioned price signs that require a person with a long pole to change prices.  All these electronic signs make it too easy dial up increases on an hourly basis.

Can't imagine a price high enough to ground the scoot, it is the most fuel efficient vehicle in the stable. If I could only figure out how to make it haul a trailer big enough for a full size pallet I would make it my work truck!

My neigbor Cappy went and bought himself this little Honda scooter that looks like a Vespa for a grand (you hear that TC he bought a complete vehicle for less than your front end suspension ) . He's got a sweet Street Glide and a Can Am Spyder so why he needs this thing I've got no idea but he's ridin around (all 235lbs of him) on this thing looking like a complete fool but Hey, he gets 80mpg.

You ever hear that expression, "big girls are a ton of fun until your friends see you riding one"?

OK, I'm heading out to scout the local gas stations to check for big price drops.  We all know how they increase prices daily based on "futures" prices on the crude oil markets, right.  Well today saw a roughly 9% drop in crude prices, with US crude dropping below $100 per barrel for the first time in months.  So I assume I'll be able to see the pump prices plummeting as I drive around the area.

Yup, and I think he's trying to stir up some stuff again. ::)

Uhhh, what makes you think government could run the oil business any better than they run the government business?  At least the oil business isn't broke and living off loans from China.
