Modification questions
« on: April 14, 2011, 11:30:00 PM »

First off the stock pipes are beautiful but quiet, not sure I want to bash the baffles out of these babies, I guess I could get some better baffles installed, solutions?
Secondly I need to put some highway pegs on and want them to match the stock passenger pegs, can't find them in the catalogue or online, anybody know a part number?

Most of us with SESGs went with Fullsac baffles (do a search on this forum).

Highway pegs.....the passenger pegs are available if you order all the individual parts to make a complete set.  Or......you may find somebody on here that's converted to floorboards on the rear that wants to let loose of theirs. :nixweiss:

You can find just about what ever you want to know on your SESG by going to the SESG board on this forum or do a search on here. :2vrolijk_21:

By coincidence my dealer has ordered highway pegs for me today - he says the pegs being special CVO can only be purchased by the dealer on behalf of a CVO owner & thus are not for normal sale - I'll post the part numbers when I get them
Cheers
Glen.

Yes it is a brawler, I bought it through the Harley custom seat program, where you can pick a seat inlay design and type of material for the inlay (I picked Aligator skin) the colour of that material (I picked black) you can pick the colour of your stitching (I picked Green of course).. Click the link or copy and paste it to design a custom seat ..

I will post some pics when my bike is back from getting the amp fixed ... GRRR

As for the exhaust , I have the TTS tuner from Fullsac and his baffles in my stock pipes. I called him one day and asked what would happen if I put the stock baffles back in because I kind of liked the quiet of them when I first got my bike. He said that the bike  would run just fine , maybe a tad rich at full throttle, but would be just fine even with the map I had put in it that I got from him . Haven't done it yet but I may someday. As for the highway pegs, you have to get the mounts out of the accessories catalogue (there are several choices) and the pegs like the ones on your passenger brackets . In the special parts book for the FLHXSE2 it lists several part #'s to fit together the entire peg assembly but I am sure if you ask your dealer they probably are available all together or he can get them for you. Fullsac's # is 928 505 2912. They offer 1.75"--------2" and 2.25" baffles and the bigger they are the louder they are. I have the 1.75" and they are louder than stock but quieter than for instance rineharts or VH. Sound is great but not obnoxious.  Good luck.

The individual part #'s are as follows:
11304--- ring,  retaining
50912-72---spring washer
50351-03--mount/footpeg support
51453-09---footpeg body
51459-09---footpeg tread
94409-03 ---screw

It takes two of each for you to have left and right. Some of these items like the ring ,and spring washer may come with the highway mounting brackets you get.

Hi Apehanger,

The Brawler looks great, how does it stay bolted to the rear fender?  I took my stock seat off and there were two mounting points but not a bolt hole.

It comes with a bracket that hides beneath the seat and has a stud on it, then you simply apply an acorn nut....
