Clicked the link and only got the same map.  Was there anything else with it that explained the ratios or methodology.  For New York (for example); 1 in 145 what?  145 trips?  145 one hundred thousand miles?  145 full moons?  I really want to know how often I'm going to smack Bambi right in the tail lights!

they should have included the times of the day deer are most likely to be active. You can greatly increase the odds of arriving safely if you just avoid dusk thru late dawn.

I ever get smashed in a collision with a deer I want to nail them either while a doe and a buck are having sex or smear a pregnant doe.  I at least want a 2-for-1 if I'm going to get splattered.  It'd be best, however, of fawns followed mommy deer like ducklings followed the big duck.  Then if they got me I could at least wipe out an entire generation at the same time.

There's a road that separates the woods from a cornfield about 2 blocks from my house.  The deer are in that field feeding virtually every night at dusk.  I avoid that road at all costs during certain hours of every day and use an intersecting road if I wanna go watch them.  Can't count the number of dead deer I've seen while taking walks along that road.  It's nuts.

Another reason to live in Hawaii.

Apparently California, Nevada and Arizona have extradited all of their deer to Montana and Wyoming.

Well, Twolane, the field doesn't look too rough....you could get a 3 for 1!...and get rid of a homo-deer to boot.

Watch out for all them antlers!!
