WO-517 WILD ONE CHUBBY BARS

I AM CONSIDERING BUYING A SET FOR MY 09 CVO ROAD GLIDE. IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED AND OR HAD THEM ON YOUR BIKE LET ME KNOW YOUR EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT WANT TO MODIFY ANYTHING AT ALL IF POSSIBLE. JUST WANT TO SWAP THE BARS.

There have been several threads about bars for RG's in the Road Glide section, and the general consensus was the WO 515's are the better choice.  As Jim (hd-dude) explained to me, the hand position on the 517's is like "pushing a wheelbarrow".  I took his advise and went with the 515's and am very happy with the choice.  I just did a 1900 mile trip, and the bars were perfect for me.  OF course everyone is not built the same, so bars won't fit everyone the same.  I'm 6'4", 210lb, and the 515's work for me.

They will work with the stock length wires and brake lines. I don't know about the clutch because mine has a cable. I'm not sure if I like them or not, I'm 6'0". I would like to find something half way between stock and the WO517. I may try 2011 Road Glide CVO bars. These pictures compare them to stock bars.

I have the WO517s.  At first I did not like them and was very uncomfortable with them.  Then one day they just clicked and I was happy with them.  The only thing about them is in a tight turn.  Really have to watch it due to the handle position.

Handelbars are a very subjective purchase.  Your physical size, riding style, and how you ride all come into play when making an informed after market handlebar purchase.  I have the 517's on my FLTRSE3, and I like them just fine.  The added pull back, and hand positioning works for me.  Most of my riding is log distance.

I had the 515's on an 06.  Quality bars no doubt,  my only issue was the width.  After long days in the saddle, they would hurt me in the back of my shoulders.  Other than that for me,  great choice of bars.

Jim installed the 513's on mine 8 in high, and did the same with AK's SERG only he went with the 10 in I wish that I had gone with the 10 in, but either one there great bars. And wanted to add we both did not have to change any of the cables with either size bars.

How do the WO513 compare to stock? I want something with a little more pull back. A little more height wouldn't hurt also, I could rotate them back to get my pull back.
