Look in the front of your CVO owners manuals - it breaks down the VIN by different things to include Model and Engine (103) Type - thus a VIN for one of our bikes will be different than a VIN of a bike coming off the line - even if they pulled a frame from the main assembly line.

The problem is that bikes in sequence do not follow by VIN automatically as there are numerical value set to the letters in a VIN and they total to a number (not sure what it is).

So sequence 3 or 400 VIN 45678 is not always followed by 4 of 400 45679 it may in fact be 44679 allowing the total to remain the same.  I believe this is true as it is with cages.

BUT - if I remember correctly the VIN in order is:

Engine Code, Model Code, then a sequential number
or Model Code by Engine Code than a sequential number

Either way - our bikes should all have the same "general vin" with only the sequential number being different...

As I've mentioned before get ready for a new softtail family member called "Dice". Harley's new fat rear tire bike.

Then its year 2 of the "CUSE" different paint scheme's, wheels and seat inlay but otherwise no major change's.

Second CVO model will be another softtail the Springer aka "Bad Boy 2".

Third CVO model will be introduced a first from the Sportster family with a Screaming Eagle version of an upgraded 1200 cc motor

And I didn't get my info from a salesman.  ;)

Hey what you got against salesmen???

I'm betting on more leather. Like saddle bags to match the tourpack. Less paint to screw up.  ;D

Theres a confusing issue here about the production numbers on the vin for our bikes.A while ago I heard that last 3 digits on the vin represented the production number of the cvo models.Considering that they produce 1200 fatboys on each color this cant be true to identify the bikes over production #999.FXR's used have a production number of 900 but they decided to go with more unites since then. Please corrrect me if I am wrong.Just got confused here. Brad,

I think you're on to something here.  How about a leather covered tank, outer fairing, saddlebags, and tour-pak?  That way they only have to paint the fenders. ;)

A local dealer sales guy told me Saturday that the 2007's will arrive at the dealerships in July. All 4th quarter production will be '07's. Several new colors including a flat silver and a flat blue. Those colors will be available in addition to the flat black introduced in '06 - even beyond the Street Bob.
Two models are discontinued - the Superglide Custom FXDCI and the Heritage Softtail FLST. He's heard there will be at least one new model but doesn't know what it will be. He thinks the new CVO's will be a Springer Softtail and a Dyna but has no facts to back that up.
Speculation goes on!!!

I have heard some rumors about the 113 option also. If true that would cause some family issues cuz I would have to have it.

Hey what you got against salesmen???

Nothing personal I can assure you that. But as a sub species; they are usually between me and what I want. They're camelions. They are well versed in saying what the person they're speaking to at that particular moment in time wants to hear.SO you want to hear some gossip about the 07 model line-up, they are more than happy to make up something. IMO

The MotorCo is pretty serious about Emissions and I don't know if they can get that 113 to pass...  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

The '06 Ultras are done in order (can't speak for others), the VIN's are different from a regular Ultra, we have 2 bikes in the registry one after the other.  We were also told this by one of the folks at the factory, sorry don't remember her name, but she was standing next to the line of CVO Ultra's being built, so I hope she knows something about them, she said she inspects em or something, and yes she did tell the higher ups about a problem with the paint....

Anyways, as for my '07 rumors, The MoCo is dissolving the CVO line completely, due to EPA regulations they don't want to ruffle any feathers and feel that the best option is to just dissolve the whole line.....sorry guys, it was nice while it lasted.........all the baggers are getting a detuned Revo motor and 4 speed trannies.......Sportsters will become the MoCo's flagship bike with a new Hybrid Diesel/Electric and Ridley inspired automatic drive.....

The 2006 CVO Ultra's will become collector items, prices will jump 3 fold before the end of 2006, 4 fold for the Green/Black combo being the most rare of the production.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] If you'd like to get one before this happens, I'm putting mine up for $100,000 right now, first come first serve.......
