When i was ready to buy at the end of Dec., If  I didn't have a trade in I could of got it for $36,000 out the door.

But the dealer i worked with He give me $19,000  on my 2009 UC 96" with 23,500 miles on it, and sold me the Rio red CVO at MSRP out the door

MSRP is $36,499. IMO 36,009 might be OK, but I don't know if I would call it "exceptional"!

We will have to see, becuase some dealers have one to0 two CVO  Rio red or the blue on the floors, and here we are coming up on June, not sure the cut off date for the last 2011, but if they still have them on the floor and the 2012 are coming this my be the year you could get a 2011 for $34000
that would be a good deal, I hope that don't happen becuase I paid MSRP, that means my bike would take a Big Hit. NOt that I plan on Selling/

On this CVO i just got not sure if it was about the money. the 2011 had what I was looking for in a bike, I think the bugs are worked out the 110. It had the GPS installed, the Heated Seat and Hand Grips. It handles like a wet dream Not sure what ealse we will need.  And I'm thinking the Air cool will be coming to a end if not for 2012 but soon. If they keep adding HP they will have to water cool. :-X And I what my HD engine. :)

Yes, the dealers are probably going to have to discount and take a hit, the customers who already have purchased one (including me) will take a hit on value, and again, it doesn't matter to HD, as they have sold the bikes. Gotta think they have produced all the Blue ones.  Now will they release another 600 of green and black ones to fill the 1,500 of 11.5's?  How many "limited editions" can they turn? Rumor has it that the Green is much nicer then both Red and Blue. Trust me when I say, most dealers are quite pissed about this situation, and it's not really even full on riding season yet.

If they come out with a green and black Ultra CVO that would have to be a 2011.3/4 bike :)  Not sure what the 2011.5 guys are going to think about that. ???  and I think green my look good on the SG, but not so sure about the Ultra, but we would have see one

I think to me $1000 below MSRP would be in exceptional range but I really don't see that happening in the real world on a regular basis. The 2012 model lineup should be out in July. Most of the CVO's don't sit on the showroom floor very long especially the touring bikes. If there is a bike you love get it. Like Harley 5 Guy said it's not about the money.

the market may be changing i was indeed offered 11.5 at 1000 off msrp. you guys are right when you go that far (cvo) it really does NOT matter about the money its all about the ride. but, we all want to feel special and convince ourselves that we got a really good deal. i think the best deal would be to purchase the bike and then enjoy total using the bike up worn out. that would be a good deal for me. thanks for the input
