OK, I've been chatting back and forth about acr's as if I know what they are (I don't), and now you tell me that you can hear them.  I only know that they are enabled, because I clicked the check box in TTS.  Please educate me!  What am I listening for?

Go to Harbor Freight or an Auto Parts store and buy a compression gage.  They are cheap.  You'll know without question if your ACR's are working or not.  Cranking presure should around 125-150 psi with the ACRs working.  Around 180psi if not.

This is why I suggested the cranking pressure test. We know the ACRs (automatic compression releases) are enabled. ACRs are small solenoids that are electrically
activated with the starter button to bleed off cylinder pressure during cranking to allow the engine to spin faster with less effort. A compresion test will cut to
the chase and verify that both ACRs are actually working. If they are both functioning properly you will see cranking pressure around 150 lbs or less.
If not it will be considerably higher, 185+ and the motor may struggle to crank over with the additional pressure. Yes, experienced ears can hear them hissing.
The comp test is the bottom line. 100% positive, yes or no.

Thanks Sadunbar
