I find myself with plenty of K&N oil for treating my air filter but I have run out of the cleaner. Does anyone know what I can use to replace the cleaner and still use the K&N oil. It seems a shame to buy a whole kit when I just need the cleaner. I did look at the bottle for information but I had no luck. I'm sure there has to be a safe alternative for the cleaner.

"simple green"(walmart) mixed with water in a bucket. Works great. Just slosh it around in there several times rinsing in between. Been using it for years.

You can purchase a seperate container of just the cleaner. My dealer sells it, I suspect most others do too.

$12.00 for a Quart? Cheaper from K&N by the Gallon. Google is your friend sometimes.
