    • CVO1: FLHXSE2 . . . . . Fullsac X-Pipe - 2.25" baffles - Fueling 574 Cam's - TTS Tuner - 30 Tooth Pully W/Stock Belt- Wild One 575 Bars - Chrome Inner Primary - Kuryakyn Plate frame 9182 - Diamond Engineering Polished SS Bolt Kit - 8" Windvest - Black Agitator

Don't get me wrong, I am on the band waggon, I love my plug and play Fullsac system, I really like the look of the stock pipes, but I want more. By far, the only real complaint about the Fullsac system is from the guys that want louder and/or deeper. Maybe it is time to hear your followers, how about one more option?? Deep and loud!! Seems most say the 2" baffle performs better than the 2-1/4 baffle, the only reason we go to the 2-1/4 is for more sound. Come on, you can do it, deep, loud, performance, the challenge is now on the table. I know you can make something that performs awesome, sounds like the V/H HO's and fit's in the stock muffler can.

Just a thought, how many out there think like me?

So what do you think Steve, can you do it??

I took the liberty of adding a poll.

I beleve that Steve has posted that the 2.0 actually performs just a bit better than the 2.5.

Just a wild guess, but knowing the age demographics of this forum, I'm guessing that it'll be a small minority that actually wants a louder exhaust.  Most of us have spent years with the loud exhaust (Thunderheader for me) and we're now paying the price for that. :(

I hear ya JCZ, I just keep reading people saying they want louder. I have had Thunder headers for the last 10 years, and I DO NOT want that back!! Maybe somewhere in between though.

Why on this earth would you want any louder than the 2-21/4" baffle? I went with the Bub Stealth and I love it that i can hear my radio, Ipos,  whatever at any speed and not ned 4 advil afater a long ass trip,,It Took me many tears and years to get this set up.  Only one set of ears is all you get. :nixweiss:

I think the sound is perfect on my 2.0 setup.  What I love about the sound is it nice around town riding easy but nail it and there is no doubt that there is a modified Monster pulling away!!  I have only 200 miles on my FullSac setup.  It runs flawless!!  In fact as i was riding I was thinking how long can ride with without changing the cam and head gasket!!  (Who has the FullSac with cam and head gasket)
I couldn't be happier with a Out-of-the-box set up!

To be 100% honest, if Steve came out with a new core today, I wouldn't be the first in line. I am on the fence somewhere around 50/50.

  • Love the crusing speed sound
  • Love the look
  • Sounds pretty tough when you get on it
  • Wish people could hear you coming a little more (live in the city)
  • Wish it had a deeper tone

If you read through the exhast threads though, you will see a lot of people that have changed or are thinking about changing because they want louder. For me, it's when I am hot rodding around with my buddies, wish it was louder. Yes, I want my cake and eat it too.

I ran the Fullsac 2.25 for just over two years.  Switched to the High output rounds from V&H.  I wanted the deeper / lower and louder sounds.  That said, if I am doing a trip over 1000 miles then the Fullsac go back in.

The Vance are just a little much for 8 hours a day several days in a row.  They are nice for 300 miles days or less though.

Last summer in the Havasu channel, A high roller brought out his million dollar 40' flat deck Skater with twin turbines out of a Huey helicopter.
This thing was incredible! Everybody drooled over it all day. Finally, as the crowd gathered, he and his crew put on their head sets and fired it up.
As the turbines spooled up, the sound was deafening, stopping all conversations for hundreds of feet. As the owner waved to the crowd, it slowly
made its way down the channel and eventually we could speak again. The first words out of Cammy's mouth. "How small could his dick be?"

The very next day I started working on quieter mufflers.

Sorry guys, loud pipes are being targeted in many, many areas. Not everyone is impressed.Times are changing and I want to be part of the future.
I sincerely appreciate your interest.

Totally agree with you, Steve.  Your 2" cores are plenty loud enough for me.  Not to get on a soap box, but if we, as riders, don't start taking into account that people are really getting fed up with noise polution, and voluntarily start keeping our bikes at more reasonable sound levels, it's going to be legislated for us, and all choices will be off the shelf.  Yes, I know it will be difficult to actually ENFORCE legislated sound levels, and yes, I know there are other things besides motorcycles that make loud noises, but motorcycles are the easiest target and will be singled out, right or wrong...that is reality.  The charge may not stick, but you'll still have to have the hassle of fighting it, and I'd just as soon not have "the man" stop me for any reason, much less give them an easy excuse.  Yes, loud stereos in cars are annoying, as are other things...but they will not be targeted.  As the world becomes a more crowded place, this kind of stuff is inevitable.  I personally can't imagine needing anything louder than the 2" cores...even those are borderline for me these days, but at least I can keep the noise level down when I need to, and the cruising sound is not obnoxious at all.

:2vrolijk_21:  Kudo's to you Steve.  We need a lot more folks who will stand up to do the right thing, not just the most lucrative at the moment thing.

Anyone who thinks he needs to be obnoxiously loud on his motorcycle in order to be cool needs to read this story.  There are many better ways to "prove you're a man", if you really think it's necessary.  Funny thing though, most "real men" don't need to go around trying to prove anything.

Look around the site for those threads bitching about the motorcycle noise laws being proposed and/or passed in various communities across the country, and then tell me we really need more idiots out there creating more problems for the motorcycle fraternity.  It's well past time for folks to grow up and act responsibly, IMHO.
