Gator, we must be near the same age. A summer school typing course was the most valuable class I took in high school as well. It's served me well my whole life. Was the sports editor for my college newspaper for 3 years so I've written lots of stories and went through several typewriters. Computers didn't come into play until I was out of college and into the work force.

Had a 350 Kawasaki triple as my first bike in college and have wanted to do a restoration like your Bonnie on one for the past several years. Love the big iron but that little rice burner still holds a spot in my heart!

Enjoy your new and old rides my friend!

Thanks, BE.  Hey, want a stunning Corbin seat for your Deuce in Snakeskin with removable passenger backrest?

Came off my neighbor's $40k '03 show Deuce.......

Yeah, I'm 66. but active like a 40 yr. old....was running 4 miles until recently when ortho said bone chips under my kneecap could be
cleaned out, but if I keep pounding on them, they'd come right back.......guess my running days are over......ARGHHHHHHH........

Welcome aboard Gatornapper from a even older site member.  Can't wait to wade into your Bonny thread....never owned a Triumph (BSA) but always wanted one as long as I can remember.  This is a great crowd to spend time with and all levels of expert advice as well a humor & 'pot-stirring'.........Some real characters to meet at the Get-to-gethers if you wanna put a face with the screen names.  Ride safe.  :) spyder

Thanks, Spyder......you'd fit in well around here because the Univ. of Richmond mascot/logo is the spider.....

Boy, riding with other CVO owners would be great......I've done that with two of the members of the Triumph forum and both have '72 Bonnevilles as well!  The plan is to get all 3 together, and even a 4th from Maryland.

Only CVO owner I know is Roger Davis here('10 CVO FLTSEU) a fellow H.O.G. member of our South Richmond chapter.....need to see if he is a member of this forum.

Nice seat! What's he want for it?

As much as I can get him for it.....I have it, check what it is  new and make an offer.......I haven't even looked to see what it costs new.....

Just let me know, I'll take anything reasonable - especially for a fellow CVO rider!

The passenger back rest comes off so it looks really good riding solo.......

Just checked and it is Ostrich and retail is $670 for seat & backrest.  How does 50% plus shipping sound?
It's in good shape but needs cleaning and touchup........

It's a really nice seat and a very fair price but I checked with the bike owner (my wife) and she says pass. Primarily because we got a custom made Corbin for her that is narrower in the legs and lowered so she can reach the ground with her feminine little feet!

Would suggest you post it in the "For Sale" section. Lots of Deuce owners on the board. Sure some one would be happy to sit on it!
