Most of you have read my previous post regarding the lifter failure at 23400 miles....
THe bike spent a total of 12 weeks in the shop total while doing a few upgrades along the way.
A little over 2500 miles later I took the bike in for tires, brakes, and the requisite oil change...
Now, with Amsoil, I'd lose a quart over every 2500-3500 miles.. not too bad...
However, when the engine went back together, there was discussion over Amsoil, so I said fine.. put in the Syn 3 and lets see what it does... in the 2500 miles the bike lost almost 2 quarst of oil... no leaks, but the piston slap is still notably there...
It appears to be getting by the rings as the heads have new seals and I believe guides.
Looks like a set of pistons and axtell cylinders are next.....
What about headwork?
