Captain’s Log | 06.03.2011

Another night of lack of sleep but the journey today was filled with adventure.  After a full breakfast it was time to hop on the iron horse and head more into Colorado.  I ahead toward Highway 160 which would take me to Durango, CO and all points in between.  Thank GOD that the great state of Colorado has some sense regarding their speed limits on interstates.



On the way I would experience views such as these…



As you may see there is smoke in the air which is from the fires they are experiencing in Arizona and New Mexico.

The wind was there at speeds of 30+ mph but not as bad as yesterday’s 50+ mph according to the Weather Channel.

Colorado has been referred to as a liberal state however I am not certain that this would make the point.  Where else but in Georgia can you purchase liquor on your way to conduct some hunting?
