I am thinking of getting Rinehart tru-duals for my 08 SERK, but I have heard that there is a loss of low to mid range power with tru duals.
I have a T-Max and heavy breather on it.
What is the opinion or experience out there?
The Rinehart head pipes are a stepped header design which only work on big
inch and high compression engines. 117 and up engines need that much flow in the
exhaust. Our engines don't. To much flow takes away back pressure in the exhaust
needed for low rpm torque. Bad for low rpm torque. On the up side 3000 and up rpm
power is better. Flow is better so power is better on the high end.
It just depends on where you want the power to be.
I run Vance and Hines head pipes because they are the same diameter as the head
ports all the way back and Rinehart 4 inch mufflers. No torque dip in lower rpms and
good flow on top. A good combination in my opinion.

That being said a 2 into 1 exhaust makes the best power but I like the looks of a
tru dual much better.
