I use LaNale Engineering fans, have since my 07 Ultra.
I only turn it on during long traffic jams and in town.
It does help.
I do have cams, exhaust, and a tune on the bike, so it runs cool for the most part.
Just like to help things along when in traffic.

Thanks Dave!! I believe the the Harley Fan Kit works off a thermostat and from the 2 people I have talked to they like the way it works but I thought I would peg my other brothers here on the board.

I've used them on other bikes but not my 2011.  If you decide to buy one, go ahead and by a handful of the rubber mounts that hold the fan in place.  They break constantly!

Thats what I have been told, big reason why I use the LaNale fan.
Never have I had a problem with them on 3 dif bikes.
Just sayin, and they are not so bulky like the harley fans.

I also have used a LaNale fan for a few years now... But when the temp rises there is a certain point when nothing going to help much with these hot machines!

Here's a video of the LaNale fan

Have had the HD fan for several years and it works as intended. As mentioned previously the mounting system is weak and you should keep extra rubber mounts with the bike. I may have fixed this (knocking on wood) by having the lower arm mount beefed up by a local welder. I believe that arm was flexing do to the rigid mount to the primary and causing undo vibration. Would I do it over? Maybe, but not until exhausting all avenues, that thing costs $400. and unless you spend more money to fix the poor design you will not be satisfied with it. Hmmm, doesn't that sound familiar?

Sry, here are some pics on my older bikes.
None on the 2011 yet.
You will notice it is waaaaay smaller then Harley fan and about 200 less money.
Again, not knocking the Harley fan, this one was just right for me.

Have used the LaNale fans, engine and oil cooler, problem free for two years. Proved their worth in some bad traffic jams traveling two up, fully loaded.

Thanks for all the input on the Lanale Fan. I'm trying to add more airflow on my 110 motor and have had numerous issues about warranty especially since I am on my 3rd motor. Unfortunately I am using a Harley Fan so I don't have to go through a bunch of Head Aches with my local dealer and the Area Rep. If I had another failure like the first two motors they would blame it on the Lynale Fan. Don't get me started because it just irritates the Hell out of me!!
